We are Lucy and Dave, creative artists and makers.

We absolutely love making things and have had the pleasure of working in prop and model making for many years.

Much of our work has been in stop-frame animation, making props and sets, and running props departments.

We have practical and problem solving skills, and organisational skills to provide finished products within budgets and deadlines.

Our work has involved many different techniques and materials such as sculpting, moulding and casting in resins, silicones, foams, jesmonite and plaster. Vac-forming plastic, woodwork, metalwork, wire, paper and papier mache, fabrics, application of various textures and finishes, and painting by spraying or by hand.

Wherever possible we will choose the more environmentally sound, sustainable and healthy options. More recycling and repurposing of materials, less use of nasty chemical substances.

No job too small! Scale models have often been part of our work and we love to create in miniature, whether in a realistic style or to a particular design. Larger life-sized and outsized creations are most welcome too, in the last few years we have been involved in some poly carving on a large scale for theatre props, and creating full sized animal sculpures.

We welcome the challenge of new ideas, materials and techniques, we are always keen to learn. There is usually more than one way to create a model - figuring out the best way is a big part of the appeal of model-making. We will be more than happy to discuss any creative projects you may be thinking about, please get in touch…
